Is a subscription activated this way any different from paying by card?
No. Same models, same limits, same features, same account — Anthropic treats a redeemed plan exactly like a card-paid one. The only difference is that nothing recurs: your months are prepaid, and there's no payment method on file.
How long until my subscription is active?

What happens when my prepaid months run out?
The plan simply ends — no auto-renewal, no surprise charge. To keep going, order another code and redeem it; many customers re-up a month or two before expiry. Codes themselves stay redeemable for 365 days from purchase.
My payment came up short — what now?
That's an underpayment, almost always caused by an exchange deducting its withdrawal fee from what you sent. The invoice stays open: top up the missing amount (we email you the exact remainder) and the order proceeds normally.
What if the code doesn't work, or delivery is late?
Both are covered in writing: a code that's invalid or already redeemed on arrival gets a full refund if reported within 48 hours (we verify against the purchase receipt), and delivery past our 12-hour SLA qualifies for a full refund too — paid in the same crypto, minus network fee.
